Equivalence of Blaine, Wagner and 80% passing micron.

The cement fineness is defined in terms of Blain value or Wagner value or 80% passing micron size.
The basic relation between Blain value, Wagner value and 80% passing micron size are defined as equations and can be solved.
B = Blain value (cm2/gm)
W = Wagner value (cm2/gm)
p = 80% passing size in sieve (microns)

Equation (1) and equation (2) does not give identical values; the results are taken as approximate only.
The fineness factor is calculated from the value of 80% passing micron size

This fineness factor is multiplied to the bond’s equation to get specific power consumption (This equation holds good if p < 70)
